Staying in the green Between the vast meadows of Friesland, near the border with Overijssel and Drenthe, is our own little island hidden in the green. A place where time slows down, where silence is audible, and where you can really come to yourself. The B&B is located in the back part of our farm: a spacious and cozy space of over 75 m², which you have all to yourself. You overlook the beautiful ash tree and your own piece of garden, where birds fly in and out, - and with a bit of luck the squirrels playfully go through the trees and the deer show themselves. The interior is warm, comfortable and lovingly composed, with much attention to recycling and natural materials. There is a cozy sleeping loft and a generous sofa bed downstairs, making room for up to 4 people. You have a cozy sitting and dining area, where everything has been thought of to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
Nature and surroundings
From our B&B you will quietly discover the beauty of nature, the wealth of culture and the charm of the countryside. We are happy to share our favorite places and tips with you: Dellebuurtse Heide- vast heathland with panoramic views, peace and quiet where rare butterflies live in the summer. Landgoed De Eese- beautiful old estate with stately avenues, woods. Drents-Friese Wold, Boschoord and Doldersummerveld - robust nature with a rich flora and fauna Fochteloërveen - beautiful extensive peat bog, where the crane lives. Also on the bike you can go in many beautiful directions, through a varied landscape of forests, moors, meadows and villages. A few tips: Through the Drents-Friese Wold to Appelscha or the green villages Diever and Dwingeloo The Colonies of Weldadigheid around Frederiksoord and Veenhuizen are beautiful and nice day trips. To the north via the Linde and Tjongervallei,where you can cycle past small Frisian villages and wide views.
