Very comfortable and quiet guest house of 60m2 in recently converted barn on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Cayriech. Private entrance, the studio is on the ground floor. The spacious guesthouse has a sleeping area with a double bed , a bathroom with walk-in shower and a sitting area with games and books. There is plenty of documentation on local attractions and hiking tours available. Also a covered outdoor terrace and a parking place + charging point for an electric car (one-time charge €15,-). Electric bicycles are charged free of charge. Breakfast can be enjoyed in the dining area of the studio or on the adjoining terrace. The grounds surrounding homes and outbuildings are fenced. Sustainability (reuse of materials) and ecological responsibility are central to the design, renovation and maintenance of grounds, house and outbuildings. We reuse water, and the energy system is self-sufficient.
Nature and surroundings
The B&B is centrally located in the Le Quercy Blanc region, in rural areas, but only 30 km away from major cities such as Cahors and Montauban. This region is characterized by large limestone plateaus, rolling hills, and more rugged woodland, crossed by rivers like the Lot and the Aveyron. The b&b is a great starting point for walks or bike rides. In the immediate vicinity : local organic regional markets and beautiful medieval villages such as Montpezat de Quercy and Saint Antonin Noble Val. Albi and Toulouse are also worth a visit, an hour's drive away and an excellent day trip. Information on local attractions and activities is in plentiful supply, and is gladly explained in more detail by us. I will mention a few: The truffle market at Lalbenque, the phosphate mines at Cloup d'Aural, the hiking trail and waterfall at Saint Symphorien, the medieval tapestries at the monastery of Montpezat de Quercy, the spectacular wild banks of the Aveyron.
