In 2010, the former stable was transformed into a gîte. The characteristic facades have been combined with modern comfort. The gîte has a cozy living room of about 40 m2 with open kitchen, dining table and sitting area with a comfortable sofa bed. There is a wood stove for the colder period of the year. From this living area there is direct access to the private terrace overlooking the surrounding meadows. The master bedroom has a double bed, but is large enough to add a crib as well. In the second bedroom there is a bunk bed for older children. The modern bathroom has a shower, sink and toilet.
Nature and surroundings
In the middle of the rolling Limousin countryside, 900 kilometers from Utrecht, lies this cozy 4-person cottage. Between the rolling green hills with its famous red-brown cows you will find plenty of space, peace and even complete silence. At night you will experience deep darkness or brilliant starry skies. Directly from the cottage you can make walks on old cart paths and bike rides on winding country roads. On the property is a swimming lake with a sandy beach. Here you can swim in the cool spring water. This is a dug lake with flowing water that we empty and clean every year, so no fish swim in it. Children can play to their hearts' content in the enclosed grounds at the end of the dead-end country road. In the cottage is a folder with several hiking and cycling routes and information on tourist trips in the area. And otherwise we can surely give you some nice tips!
