DIt Nature House is located on the edge of the Fochteloërveen, on the border of Friesland and Drenthe. A luxury nature house for four people, surrounded by peace, space and open landscape. Here the day slows down automatically. The lodge is bright and comfortably furnished, with large windows that bring the landscape inside. Inside and outside flow together effortlessly. Natural materials and quiet colors create a warm, relaxed atmosphere. Everything is provided, without excess. Outside is a spacious wooden terrace with a characteristic tree. A nice place to drink coffee in the morning sun or listen to birds and wind in the evening. The unobstructed view enhances the feeling of space and silence. The lodge is part of a small, quiet park without facilities, where silence and nature are central. FEAN Nature Lodge stands for luxury in simplicity: comfort, attention and peace in harmony with nature. A place to let go, catch your breath and do nothing for a while.
Nature and surroundings
The Fochteloërveen begins right next to FEAN Nature Lodge. This extensive and protected raised bog area on the border of Friesland and Drenthe is among the most silent and open landscapes in the Netherlands. The absence of buildings and traffic makes the peace here particularly tangible. The area is known for its rich nature and bird life. With some luck you will hear or see cranes, which regularly stay in this area. Each season has its own atmosphere, from light and open to quiet and serene. From the nature house you can walk or cycle straight into nature. With the four free bikes you can also explore the Drents-Friese Wold, with forests, heath and sand drifts. A short distance away is Veenhuizen, a special village with UNESCO World Heritage and a unique history. The surroundings invite you to slow down and pay attention. No crowds or haste, but nature, space and silence that linger for a long time.
