Bonjour! Welcome to the southern part of the beautiful “Parc naturel régional du Morvan.” Here you can enjoy peace, quiet, and nature in the middle of the forest, with no neighbors, far from the hustle and bustle of modern life. There are countless opportunities for enjoyable walks and bike rides through beautiful, picturesque countryside, villages, and forests. I The rooms and bathroom are located on the first floor by the loft, where there is also a small sitting area with coffee and tea facilities. Of course, fiber-optic Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. In the spring and fall, it’s wonderful to relax on the terrace with a stunning view of the valley; if it’s very warm, there are also seating areas on the north terrace under the 100-year-old chestnut tree with an old water source, in the orchard, or by the babbling Dragne stream, where you can also take a refreshing dip. Everything exudes peace and quiet. Perfect for reading a good book on your day of rest.
Nature and surroundings
In the morning, you’ll wake up to the sound of birds singing to one another, the murmur of a stream, and the sight of a buzzard gliding on the first warm spring breeze—or perhaps you’ll spot a pair of roe deer feasting on fresh green leaves from the orchard. In the evening, you’ll hear the owl and see the stars and the Milky Way, thanks to the absence of light pollution. The surrounding area offers plenty of opportunities to enjoy the good, Burgundian French life—visiting a charming French weekly market, one of the many flea markets, taking a bike ride along the Canal du Niverais, or exploring the provincial town of Nevers, where Bernadette (Lourdes) is laid to rest. You can cool off in the Lac du Settons. We’d be happy to help you put together a fun itinerary!
