Welcome to our nature house! This place is all about relaxation, both indoors and outdoors: - 8 comfortable beds spread across 3 bedrooms (and 2 sets of 2 extra sleeping spots in the loft and living room) - A kitchen-dining area with everything you need to show off your cooking skills, featuring an adjoining deck with a herb garden; - A sitting area with a wood stove; - Upstairs: a snooker table, foosball, dartboard, and TV corner; - A well-stocked cabinet with reading material, games, hiking trails, etc.; - An enclosed garden of 2,000 m², with seating areas and spots to relax (including hammocks) in both sun and shade; - For the kids: a swing, trampoline, monkey bars, soccer field… or pull the inflatable pool, garden sprinkler, and ping-pong table out of the shed! Please note: the house has no Wi-Fi and no dishwasher. This is a place to slow down, relax, and enjoy nature, the silence, and the starry sky—the simple joys of outdoor living. All modern comforts are provided: wood stove, electric heating, bathtub, shower, etc.
Nature and surroundings
Welcome to the French Ardennes! A charming, rolling landscape of forests and meadows. A wonderful place to truly get away for a week or weekend with 8–12 people, just a 3½-hour drive from Utrecht! Rolling green hills that beg to be explored by bike, on foot, and simply admired. The stone houses seem to blend right into the meadows, fields, and forests that make the region so diverse. And the local cuisine (ham, pâté, stews, and pairing beers) feels familiar, too. But you’re also practically in Champagne—so you’re truly in France! Here, you can still walk for hours without running into a soul. Except for the birds, it’s still truly quiet here, and it gets truly dark at night. Here we’ll enjoy a three-course lunch. And we’ll take the time to reflect on life. Visit a flea market or local market, sample local beers, cider, or champagne, hike through the woods, explore the World War I battlefields, the charming town of Charleville-Mézières, the cathedral in Reims… what will you choose?
