This nature house is a unique building in a unique place in the middle of nature. It was built around 1880, for love, by order of the Baron's mistress, Marie Rose Larrey. In the main building are 4 suites and 1 gîte each with a large double bed, an extra (children's) room with 2 beds and 5 private bathrooms, a dining room with large kitchen and 2 conservatories with billiards and games. Next to this is another outbuilding with 1 suite and 2 gîtes with the same set up plus 4 bathrooms, an outdoor bar with games room, party room and a room for retreats or the like. The complex has a covered terrace, large garden with boules court, trampoline, table tennis, playhouse, 2 horses and 2 pigs. A stream runs through the garden and there is a natural swimming pool with large terrace and optional sauna. A total of up to 29 people can stay there, possibly 5 extra beds in 2 mobile homes for an additional cost. It is also possible to rent the main house, outbuilding or the separate gîtes separately.
Nature and surroundings
This nature house in district 65 Haute-Pyrenees, is a unique location in the middle of the French Pyrenees. Located in a non-touristy valley des Barronies, surrounded by silence and natural beauty. From here it is possible to walk to Spain without meeting anyone. Thereby crossing one natural park after another such as: Pic du Midi de Bigorre, National Park Pyrénées, Massif du Néouvielle, National Park Ordesa y Monte Perdido, Parque Natural Posets Maladeta. But actually our immediate surroundings are already very worthwhile to discover on foot or by (electric) bike, with gems like: Gourgue d'Asque, Pic d'Arneille, Prairie Coume de Moumède and at 2 km distance a waterfall and the cave in d'Esparros. 40 minutes drive to the nearest ski resort, St-Lary and 8 other ski resorts within 1 hour drive, n-py.com. Le Petit Chateau is easily accessible, 15 minutes from the peage A65 and 20 minutes to a train station.
