Our house in Liguria is located on the banks of a clear trout stream in which you can swim. It is located in a beautiful natural area and hiking paradise. The house stands 700 meters from the road on a mountain path and offers complete privacy and tranquility. In the background, the mountain stream murmurs and the cool wind sweeps through the valley. The house is located on a medieval arch bridge,. Fifteen years ago it was a ruin overgrown with thorn bushes. We built it out of rough stone and refurbished it with windows and doors carved from Nepali wood. Since we could not find donkeys, the building materials were brought in by helicopter. Our house can accommodate 4 people. It is comfortable, with two bathrooms, a fireplace, and equipped with air conditioning and internet. The house has four terraces. There is also a stone barbecue, an outdoor kitchen and an outdoor shower. One of the terraces has a Jacuzzi that can be heated with wood and in which you can watch the beautiful starry sky.
Nature and surroundings
Our nature house is the only inhabited house in an Italian national park with deer, wild boar and protected species such as otters and civet cats. It is located at the hamlet of Bossare near Olivetta san Michele. There are beautiful pebble beaches on the Mediterranean less than half an hour away, in Ventimiglia. The coast and the mountains, including the Mercantour, offer extensive opportunities for biking, hiking, rafting or canyoneering. In terms of architecture, history, art and music you can indulge in the region. In less than an hour you can reach downtown Nice and the smaller cities of Menton and San Remo. Genoa is a two-hour drive away. In winter you can ski or gelanglauft at Limone, an hour north. Upon booking, we will send a detailed user guide and information on all types of hiking and tourist trips. The most wonderful months to stay are off-season.
