In the middle of Burgundy lies this two-person nature house. Our log cabin could be called a compact studio or a luxury hikers' cabin. The wooden chalet is insulated and fully equipped. The studio is attractively furnished and has a living area with table, chairs, sofa, television, an extensive kitchenette, a shower, a toilet and a sleeping cabin with a large double bed (160 x 210 cm). There are some shelves and a simple closet for clothes. Tip: Bring travel bags and no suitcases. The studio is in a beautiful garden, so you feel like you are in the middle of nature. In front of the studio is a covered terrace, with lounge chairs and a table and chairs. The plot is on a beautiful lake, where you can enjoy hiking, swimming, supping, pedal boats and fishing. At the lakeside campground there is plenty to do in the summer. You can rent bikes and buy a fishing license. The lake has carp, whitefish and pike (perch).
Nature and surroundings
Moulin Fouché is a place of paradise, where it is good to stay and where you immediately feel at home. The picturesque Arnay-le-Duc, with its restaurants, terraces and stores, is within walking distance. The Côte d'Or department and the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region have a lot to offer! There are many culturally interesting places nearby, such as Dijon, Beaune, Autun, Saulieu, Semur-en-Auxois and the picturesque village of Châteauneuf. The landscape is rolling and forms a patchwork of grain fields, pastures, vineyards and forests. In spring, rapeseed blooms in the fields and in summer, sunflowers. Several hiking, cycling and mountain biking routes have been set up around Arnay-le-Duc. Detailed maps can be purchased at the Office de Tourisme in the town (or you can use an app). Beautiful cycling routes run along the Canal de Bourgogne and right through the wine region, from Dijon, through Beaune to Santenay. In the nearby Morvan nature reserve, you can hike endlessly.
