Experience pure wilderness! Looking for a vacation that goes beyond great views? Vaksdal Hytta offers a unique off-grid experience where you truly connect with Norwegian nature. The Hytta is cozy, warm and tastefully decorated. Located by the impressive Sørfjorden, this is the place to unwind and live with the rhythm of the elements - The cottage is completely self-sufficient, with electricity via solar panels, a wood stove (additional diesel and gas stove), washing with collected rainwater and self-supplied drinking water in 10L barrels. This is how we handle nature's resources consciously - There is a sink for a fresh start (no shower available) - We ask guests to bring their own bedding and towels - We trust our guests to leave Hytta shiny clean again for the next adventurers. The proximity to the fjords makes this an ideal base for day trips.Fancy a touch of culture? The historic Hanseatic city of Bergen is 45 minutes away. By train from Vaksdal or by car you will be in the charming center with its iconic Bryggen and fish market within a short time. This way you can effortlessly combine the absolute silence of the mountains with the coziness of the city.
