At 13 kilometers from medieval Carcassonne - UNESCO world heritage site - lies our beautiful 'domaine le Colombier' of over 100 hectares. Once you are through the gate of the property is immediately on your right the cottage with private parking and private terrace with unobstructed views. This cozy vacation home has its own front door, a spacious sitting area with fireplace and an open kitchen with dining table and chairs. Furthermore, there are two spacious bedrooms each with its own bathroom and there is a separate toilet.
Nature and surroundings
Domaine le Colombier is located at the foot of the Montagne Noire - a wooded mountainous area that is an offshoot of the Massif Central and whose highest point is the Pic de Nore of 1211 meters. Although near the city of Carcassonne, none of that city bustle is noticeable on the property where you are surrounded by nature and where you can make beautiful walks. Also in the vicinity there is plenty to do; you can admire the ruins of the beautiful Lastours, cross the super high suspension bridge at Mazamet or descend into the Gouffre Géant de Cabrespine. About an hour's drive away are the cities of Toulouse and Narbonne, the medieval town of Mirepoix, the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean. There are also several swimming lakes nearby for cooling off in the summer, and a stream flows across the property. Both Carcassonne and Toulouse have airports and train stations.
