A warm welcome to our charming B&B; it’s rustic and simple (simple, yet fully equipped with all modern conveniences and featuring a private entrance!). The property, though still under development, exudes peace and space. The B&B features a living room with a kitchen, one bedroom with two single beds, and a bathroom with a shower, toilet, and sink. The kitchen is equipped with, among other things, a kettle, a Nespresso machine, a stovetop, a full set of cutlery and dishes, and there’s also a washing machine. The living room has a smart TV, a speaker, and Wi-Fi. A combination microwave is available upon request. The B&B has its own covered area where you can relax and/or store your bicycles. There is also a private parking space available 100 meters from the cottage, at the beginning of the driveway. The covered area includes a power outlet for charging electric bicycles.
Nature and surroundings
The B&B is nestled among the fields. Our private home is located on this same property: a small forest farmhouse dating from 1900. The view is fantastic, and with a little luck, you might spot roe deer, a squirrel, or buzzards flying overhead. We also have our own four bantam chickens and two cats, who happily roam around the large garden. Nijeholtpade is close to the larger towns of Heerenveen, Oosterwolde, and Wolvega, as well as more tourist-friendly destinations like Oranjewoud, Beetsterzwaag, Giethoorn, Blokzijl, and Appelscha. There are also many nature reserves in the area, such as Rottige Meenthe, Weerribben, and the Drents Friese Wold.
