Welcome to our nice B&B; it is outside and ordinary, makes in Frisian: Bûtengewoan (ordinary but fully equipped and has its own entrance!). The place, albeit still in full development, breathes tranquility and space. The B&B has a living room with kitchen, a bedroom with 2 single beds and a bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. The kitchen is equipped with kettle, Nespresso machine, stove, microwave, a full inventory of cutlery and crockery and there is also a washing machine. The living room has a TV with cable connection and there is -sometimes a somewhat faltering- wifi. The B&B has its own canopy, where you can sit and/or store your bicycles. There is also private parking available. In the canopy is a power point for charging electric bicycles.
Nature and surroundings
The B&B is located in the middle of the countryside. On this same plot is our private home: a forest farmhouse from 1900. The view is fantastic and with a little luck you can see deer walking and buzzards flying overhead. In addition to our own 4 bantam chickens and 2 cats, who cozy around in the large garden. Nijeholtpade is near the larger places Heerenveen, Oosterwolde and Wolvega, but also near the more touristy Oranjewoud, Beetsterzwaag, Giethoorn, Blokzijl and Appelscha. There are also many nature reserves in the area: for example, Rottige Meenthe, Weerribben and the Drents Friese Wold. There is plenty of opportunity for cycling, walking, culture, water sports, etc. Thialf IJsstadion and the Abe Lenstra Stadium are about 12 km away.
