You’ll be staying in a house with a rich history in the reservoir region. It’s not known exactly how old the house is, but it’s certainly over 100 years old. At the time the reservoir was built (around 1950), there was a “taverna,” a pub, in the house. Traces of this past are still visible in the house, such as an earthenware jug that’s been bricked into the wall. In 2015, the house was completely renovated, and an extension was added in the original style. For the renovation and extension, a conscious decision was made to use sustainable, natural, and environmentally friendly materials. The comfort and tranquility continue outdoors. On two sides of the house, there is a terrace made of natural stone sourced from the immediate vicinity. Outside, you can cool off and enjoy yourself in our natural swimming pool without being exposed to chemicals. The garden is a mix of an orchard and an ornamental garden that gradually blends into the surrounding nature.
Nature and surroundings
Often referred to by guests as “a little paradise,” this property is located near the Arade Reservoir, close to the historic town of Silves in the Algarve. The Quinta consists of a set of three completely independent houses. Each house offers the privacy you need to enjoy a relaxing vacation in a natural setting, complete with a private pool, terraces, and a garden to explore. The “Quinta” features various fruit trees and an organic vegetable garden available to guests; availability depends on the time of year. From the terrace, you can see and hear bird species such as the kingfisher, blue rock thrush, hoopoe, and blue jay passing by every day. Bee-eaters, golden orioles, and nightingales are also abundant, though during the winter months they can be found in tropical Africa.

Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
