Nature house in Elda

There’s plenty to do in the area. It’s a beautiful setting for mountain biking, hiking, and rock climbing. In Elda and Sax (both just about a 10-minute drive away), there’s something special going on almost every weekend, and there are a number of great little restaurants where you can really relax. But you can also just relax, spend two weeks sitting on your butt, and watch as day turns to night and night turns to day (I’ve tried it myself). Go with the flow of the Spanish rhythm, enjoy good food, cool off in the pool… we couldn’t have planned it better ourselves.

In de omgeving is van alles te doen. Het is een prachtige omgeving om te mountainbiken, wandelen en klimmen. In Elda en Sax (allebei maar iets van 10 min rijden) is bijna elk weekend wel wat bijzonders te doen, en zijn er een aantal toffe restaurantjes waar het echt goed toeven is. Maar lekker ontspannen en twee weken op je reet zitten en voor je uit kijken hoe het dag - nacht - dag - nacht wordt kan ook (zelf geprobeerd). Lekker meegaan met het Spaanse ritme, lekker eten, afkoelen in het zwembad… we hadden het zelf niet beter kunnen regelen.

Simon and Judith were waiting for us when we arrived. They gave us a lovely little tour of the area. The yurt was clean and cozy. Just like in the photos. In front of the yurt, there’s a lounge area and a couch (so cozy!) that basically serve as your living room. Behind the yurt, you walk past a fig tree—which we got to snack on—to a swing and a hammock nestled among the trees, where you can enjoy some private time together. The shower house was neat and clean (with hot water!) and the composting toilet is easy to maintain yourself. (Don’t be lazy—tie a double knot in that trash bag, haha.) The pool is pure bliss on hot days! All to yourself from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

These people really know how to be hosts. They were incredibly respectful of our privacy, and all we had to do was call out, and they were right there for us—with tips, a tasty treat from the vegetable garden, or just a friendly chat as they passed by.

Simon en Judith stonden ons op te wachten toen we aankwamen. Ze hebben ons op een heel fijne manier de omgeving even laten zien. In de yurt was het schoon en gezellig aangekleed. Precies zoals op de foto’s. Voor de yurt staan een lounge en een bank (gezellig!) die eigenlijk een soort van je woonkamer zijn. Achter de yurt loop je door (langs een vijgenboom waar we goed van hebben mogen snoepen) naar een schommel en hangmat tussen de bomen waar je heerlijk met z’n tweetjes kan verdwijnen. Het douchegebouwtje was netjes en schoon (mèt warm water!) en het composttoilet is gemakkelijk zelf bij te houden. (Heb geen lak, doe een dubbele knoop in die vuilniszak, haha) Het zwembad is puur genieten op warme dagen! Helemaal voor jezelf van 10 tot 6.

Deze mensen begrijpen hoe je hosten moet. Het begrip voor onze privacy was fantastisch en we hoefden maar een gil te geven en ze stonden voor ons klaar. Met tips, iets lekkers uit de moestuin of gewoon even een gezellige babbel in het voorbijgaan.

Everything was there—cooking supplies, towels—and Judith and Simon are super helpful if you need anything!

Alles was aanwezig, de spullen voor het koken, handdoeken en Judith en Simon zijn super behulpzaam als je iets nodig hebt!

The yurt is an oasis of peace. Simon and Judith have really turned it into a beautiful little spot. It’s incredibly peaceful there, and you wake up in the morning to a view of the mountains. The pool is wonderful on hot days! And the surrounding area is really lovely—you can go for nice walks and explore the charming towns nearby. Inside the yurt, there’s a booklet listing Judith and Simon’s favorite spots, and these are definitely worth visiting.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend it if you want to unwind and enjoy nature!

De yurt is een oase van rust. Simon en Judith hebben er echt een heel mooi plekje van gemaakt. Het is er super rustig en je wordt 's ochtends wakker met het uitzicht op de bergen. Het zwembad is heerlijk voor de warme dagen! En de omgeving is echt heel leuk, je kan er lekker wandelen en de leuke stadjes in de buurt opzoeken. In de yurt ligt een boekje met de favoriete plekjes van Judith en Simon en deze zijn zeker aan te raden.

We hebben enorm genoten van ons verblijf en raden het zeker aan als je lekker tot rust wil komen en genieten van de natuur!

The yurt is very clean and spacious and fully equipped. There are plenty of relaxing spots around the yurt, including some in the shade—which is really nice given the warm temperatures! It also has a nice shower, toilet, and kitchenette. If you just want to cool off, the lovely pool is the perfect place to go.

De yurt is super netjes en ruim en van alle gemakken voorzien, om de yurt heen heb je veel relax plekjes ook gelukkig wat in de schaduw want met de warme temperaturen is dat wel echt lekker! Voor de rest fijne douche, wc en keukentje. Voor even opfrissen kan je goed terecht in t lekkere zwembad.

The scenery was beautiful, and the hikes we went on were absolutely gorgeous and peaceful. It’s truly a place where you can enjoy stunning views!

De natuur was prachtig, de wandelingen die we hebben gemaakt waren super mooi en rustig. Echt een plek waar je kan genieten van prachtige uitzichten!
