Nature house in Jannum

Welcome to our farm on the mound of Jannum! The farm was built in 1877 and is a national monument. You will stay in one of our three B&B rooms situated in the beautiful barn with its authentic trusses. We have three fine rooms each with its own shower and toilet for you. Each room has its own, attractive decoration. Breakfast every morning with freshly baked croissants and bread rolls as well as organic products from the area. Also enjoy our large garden with various seating areas, the orchard, the jeu de boules court and our own hare trail! The surrounding view is breathtaking. Peace and quiet in the Frisian countryside. And don't forget to visit the 12th century church next to our farm. The nice Elfstedenstad Dokkum is about 7 kilometers away. It has a nice and lively center with plenty of good restaurants, stores and boutiques. In short, experience Frisian hospitality!

This nature house is located in the Unesco World Heritage Area of the Wadden Sea. This means that in spring and autumn there are a lot of migrating birds in the surrounding meadows. The area is therefore very suitable for birdwatchers, and five kilometers away is the Wadden Sea. On the way there you can first admire the highest terp of the Netherlands, the terp of Hegebeintum. Visit the pier of Holwerd where you have a beautiful view of Ameland. And don't forget the salt marshes with its hiking trails. For cyclists, this area is a true Valhalla. We can give you all kinds of tips about beautiful cycling routes. We'll mention one here, the bike path along the waters of the Dokkummer Ee.
