Our charming gîte is located on an authentic 17th-century farmhouse in Saint-Martial-de-Valette, in the heart of the Périgord Vert, the green heart of the Dordogne. Crossing a wooden bridge over the Bandiat River, you’ll arrive at a place where peace, nature, and space take center stage. The gîte accommodates up to four people and features two comfortable bedrooms, a modern bathroom with a rain shower, a separate toilet, a cozy living room with a wood stove, and a spacious kitchen-diner. Outside, you can enjoy a private terrace overlooking the greenery, a refreshing swimming pool, and plenty of space to relax. It’s a wonderful base for those who want to hike, bike, explore the beautiful Dordogne, or simply enjoy authentic French country life.
Nature and surroundings
The gîte is located in the heart of the Périgord Vert, the greenest and most peaceful part of the Dordogne. From the property, you can walk straight into nature along the winding Bandiat River, through forests, meadows, and a varied landscape teeming with birds, butterflies, and wildflowers. Roe deer are often spotted here. La Flow Vélo, one of France’s most beautiful long-distance cycling routes, runs right past the farm. There are also countless trails for mountain bikers and hikers. The charming town of Nontron is just a few minutes’ drive away and offers a lively market, artisan shops, excellent bakeries, and fine restaurants. From the gîte, you can easily explore Brantôme, Périgueux, castles, caves, and the quaint villages that make the Dordogne so beloved. An ideal destination for those seeking peace and quiet, nature lovers, and active vacationers.

Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
A deposit of €100.00 applies. You will be refunded after check-out.
