Enjoy nature, peace and quiet. Immerse yourself and experience life off-the-grid... We have completely and authentically restored our old sheepfold. Our nature house is completely detached'. Electricity is provided by a small solar panel system, water for the outdoor shower comes from a nature reserve. Approximately 30 sq. m. in size, the ground floor, which is completely made of natural stone, houses the wood stove and living room, upstairs is the bedroom on the wooden mezzanine of about 12 sq. m. Outside the bedroom you can walk to a large terrace of 20 sq. m. Our nature house is designed for relaxing. There is no telephone or internet, but if necessary we can provide a hub. In the cottage you can make coffee and tea but not cook. For an additional cost we provide breakfast, and dinner. This accommodation is located in our far back garden, there is private driveway A dream place for pets, which are therefore welcome.
Nature and surroundings
Our nature house is located in the natural reserve "Reserve Naturel de Nohedes", in the middle of the forest on the banks of the river "El Callau". You can cool off, it is located at the end of the garden at 25 meters from our bergère. In this nature reserve you can go hiking and cycling, and there are three lakes to visit with beautiful panoramic views. The village of Prades (66500) is a 20-minute drive away, where you will find all the stores and a train station. This village has a local organic market on Thursdays/Saturdays. The beautiful medieval UNESCO village of Villefranche-de-Conflent is 25 minutes away. You will find many artisan stores and restaurants, as well as the station of the famous yellow Occitanie train (Train Jaune). The cave "Grottes des Canalettes" is also located here. In Vernet les Bain (30m) there are natural hot water baths and in Casteil (40m) there is the animal park "Zoo Casteil". The nearest large city is Perpignan (45m) drive.
