This forest villa is a characterful sixties house for 2 guests (max. 4 with children). You stay in a Kempen private forest (approx. 5,000 m²), accessible via a forest road; from the driveway you walk approx. 65 m to the front door. Inside, the 4.5 m long built-in aquarium immediately catches your eye: a living decor at the sitting area and dining table. The kitchen is fully equipped; there are an electric fireplace, projector with Netflix, high-speed wifi and air conditioning. During the renovation, we brought this 1960s home energetically to today, with a warm, material-efficient OSB finish. At the same time, we restored the neglected forest: removed trash and exotics, built paths and put in new plantings. Sofie February 14, 2026 General rating:Everything was there, very clean and clearly everything was thought of. The stay was taken care of in every detail. We will definitely come back in the summer, then with the kids, to test the hammock, the play forest and the griddle on the other side.
Alles was aanwezig, heel proper en er is duidelijk aan alles gedacht. Het verblijf was tot in de details verzorgd. We komen zeker nog eens terug in de zomer, dan met de kinderen, om de hangmat, het speelbos en de bakplaat aan de andere zijde te testen.
Nature, peace & environment:We enjoyed our stay immensely! The house offers a lot of privacy, with a large private forest and no visibility from the street, so you really get complete rest. At the same time, everything is close by: stores and fun activities are quickly accessible, but just staying in the house with a coffee, some games or a cozy movie night with Netflix was at least as nice. Bird watching was also a nice extra thanks to the food that was already ready. The large aquarium in the living space brought surprising peace - something we didn't expect beforehand, but really added to the atmosphere. We even tested the warm outdoor shower in winter, which was surprisingly pleasant. And the outdoor sink is perfectly usable even in the colder months thanks to the covered area. In short: a place where you can really relax, with lots of comfort and nice details that make the stay extra special.
We hebben enorm genoten van ons verblijf! Het huis biedt heel veel privacy, met een groot eigen bos en geen inkijk van de straat, waardoor je echt volledig tot rust komt. Tegelijk ligt alles dichtbij: winkels en leuke activiteiten zijn snel bereikbaar, maar gewoon in het huis blijven met een koffie, wat spelletjes of een gezellige filmavond met Netflix was minstens even fijn.
Ook de vogels spotten was een leuke extra dankzij het voer dat al klaar lag. Het grote aquarium in de leefruimte bracht verrassend veel rust — iets wat we vooraf niet hadden verwacht, maar echt bijdroeg aan de sfeer. Zelfs de warme buitendouche hebben we in de winter getest, wat verrassend aangenaam was. En de buitenbakplaat is ook in de koudere maanden perfect bruikbaar dankzij het overdekte gedeelte.
