Located near the bridge over the Schipsloot, the canal between Wolvega and the Tjonger, is our cottage. The cottage is located behind our barn, next to the vegetable garden and the meadow where sheep are in summer. You reach the cottage via a private driveway and you have a private entrance. The cottage contains a spacious living room with sitting area, kitchen and dining table. The kitchen includes a gas stove with oven, refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave and dishwasher. There is also a television and a radio-CD player in the living room. The bedroom on the ground floor has a double bed and a closet. Next to the bedroom is the bathroom with toilet, shower and sink. From the ground floor there is a staircase to the mezzanine, here are 2 beds. The cottage is basically suitable for 2 people, use of the mezzanine (for example for your guests) in consultation. On request we provide breakfast and meals.
Nature and surroundings
In the area you can make beautiful walking or cycling trips around the Brandemeer, in the Rottige Meente, along the Tjonger or along the Linde. A half hour drive will take you to the forests and moors of Drente (Drents-Friese Wold) or to National Park de Weerribben and Giethoorn. You can also visit Sneek or Steenwijk, or see the bulb fields in the Noordoostpolder. Ice stadium Thialf in Heerenveen is only 9 km away from us. In the cottage you will find documentation of activities and attractions in the area, including cycling maps. You can use our bikes for free.
