This Nature House right by the sea is an oasis of tranquility in the small-scale vacation park (17 bungalows) Les Cariatides on the French island of Ile d'Oleron. We rent the top floor of our vacation house, completely renovated in 2025. Located just 100 meters from the Atlantic Ocean coast of the beautiful island of Ile d'Oleron. You have a private beach access and a large outdoor area at your disposal as well as 2x private parking spaces. In addition to a modern kitchen and a spacious bedroom and private bathroom, you have access to a relaxing (40M2) living area with attached conservatory. The conservatory provides direct access to the outdoor area of about 1 hectare with several seating areas and a large outdoor BBQ. Also, the cottage is equipped with Wi-fi and a flat screen, but given the beautiful surroundings you will probably not need this.
Nature and surroundings
If you love the Wadden Islands, then you are bound to fall in love with Ile d' Oleron. This island has a bridge connection to the west coast of France and is known for its nature, wild waves and delicacies such as oysters and mussels. The cottage is less than 100 meters from the sea with sandy beach. All other sandy beaches are within walking/biking distance and a delight for kite and wave surfers. The well-maintained bicycle paths also make Ile d' Oleron an excellent place for a beautiful cycling vacation. With picturesque towns like La Coteniere, Saint-Pierre, Le Chateau and Saint Trojan within biking distance, you have access to many attractions and nice restaurants. This second largest island in France is a gem to explore for both young and old. Because of the many hours of sunshine, the island is also called "Ile de lumiere Oleron" by the French. In short, enjoy nature, sun, beach and many attractions.
