Nature and surroundings
During your stay in this spacious, restful nature house you will forget all your worries. You stay 1.5 km from Wortel colony, a true hiking paradise, this nature reserve is the first cultural landscape on the list of Unesco World Heritage. Here you can enjoy hiking and cycling. Many routes cross this beautiful area. The accommodation is located 5.5 km from the town of Hoogstraten, known for its strawberries. But also numerous attractions and delicious restaurants. At 9 km from cottage9 is Baarle Hertog/Nassau. This is perhaps the strangest village in the world. Reason: in the village are no less than 30 pieces of Belgium and the Netherlands intertwined. Of the 64 enclaves worldwide, almost half are located here! So Baarle-Hertog-Nassau is not exactly on the border of the Netherlands and Belgium, where the border would run through one street. The border here runs crisscross through roads, gardens ánd houses. So you can find a house here with both a Dutch and a Belgian house number.
