The Voorhuis is the front section of an old farmhouse on the waterfront: a vacation home for eight people. It measures 120 square meters, with a private dock over 10 meters long and a terrace on the water. On the side is a second terrace next to the old milking dock. The house overlooks the lake and the river that flows into it. Downstairs is a bedroom with two single beds; on the First floor, there is a room with a bunk bed and two rooms with a double bed. You’ll be staying at our location: twelve wooden waterfront lodges and three group accommodations spread across three hectares, right next to De Alde Feanen National Park. The property is located on Lake Wijde Ee. From the lake, you can boat to Grou or De Alde Feanen without crossing any bridges, and in the other direction to Akkrum and Lake Sneekermeer. The area is surrounded by meadows, reed beds, and canals, and the sounds of birds are all you’ll hear. Cars are parked in the central parking lot, which has six charging stations; you can walk to your cabin with a luggage cart. On the grounds, there’s a play area, a playground, a ping-pong table, and a water slide that ends in the lake. You can rent the floating sauna in two-hour blocks, and upon request, it can be taken out onto the lake. You can rent a rowboat, canoe, or stand-up paddleboard on-site. Lovely cottage on the water with lots of space. We were with a group of 7 and both in and around the house there was plenty of space. The bedrooms were also very nice. Unfortunately, there was only one toilet in the house, in the bathroom, but that was perfectly surmountable. We are glad we were able to stay here.
Heerlijk huisje aan het water met veel ruimte. Wij waren met een groep van 7 en zowel in als rondom het huis was er genoeg plek. Ook de slaapkamers waren erg fijn. Helaas was er wel maar één wc in het huis, in de badkamer, maar dat was prima overkomelijk. We zijn blij dat we hier hebben kunnen verblijven.
