The cabin is a unique place that we have created with love and passion. Wood from the village sawmill for the table and kitchen, local stone for the staircase, clay and cork to make you feel like you're in the middle of nature. The cabin is triangular, the bed overlooks the terrace and the fire, and the hot mosaic shower is ideal for relaxing after a day's hiking. The toilet is equipped with a tumble dryer, and the wood-burning stove heats up quickly and easily. A gas stove, fridge, Italian coffee maker and small barbecue are available for gourmets. In the village, you'll find a cheese maker, a market gardener and a hop grower. On the hill opposite, there's a farm butcher and a duck farm. For bread, you'll have to go to Anthisnes, 3 km away, along the forest path, who knows ;)
Nature and surroundings
Guests tell me a lot about the calm and serenity of the place. The birdsong and the sound of the wind in the trees are the only soundscapes that open the door to a sense of calm. Situated on a major hiking trail, all you have to do is close the door and you're off to discover forests, rocks, caves, quarry lakes, rivers and villages. The 30-minute loop is perfect for whetting your appetite or clearing your head before nightfall. We're in the hills of the Ourthe valley, very close to the confluence with the Amblève. The landscapes sculpted by these over the centuries are all relief and nuance...there's even a little waterfall I could show you if you keep it a secret... A 20-minute drive will take you to Durbuy, Aywaille-Remouchamps and some superb Condroz castles...
