The house is located in the heart of Germany - in the Franconian Forest. Away from any town, it is situated on a road where no more than 2-3 vehicles pass by per day. As far as possible, everything in the house is on one level, so when you enter the house, you have an inviting hallway from which the kitchen and the living room lead off. Offset in the hallway is the checkroom, with bathroom 1 and bedroom 1 leading off. The house is mainly furnished with wood, which creates a rustic and warm impression. Upstairs is bedroom 2, which has a sofa bed for 2 people and 1 single bed. This room has been recently renovated. Next to the bedroom there is also a small sink outside the adjacent bathroom 2 (incl. sink).
Nature and surroundings
The location is right next to the forest, so you can see nature from the windows in almost every direction. Hiking trails and mountain bike routes start directly behind the agricultural fields, within sight of a farm with some alpacas. The animals live there all year round. You can simply take a look at them or book them to accompany you.

Unfortunately, we were unable to use the accommodation as planned. As soon as we arrived, there was an intense, unpleasant odor in the house, which did not disappear even after prolonged ventilation. The kitchen was also in a poor hygienic condition: dirty dishes, cutlery, pots and pans. The presence of numerous live and dead blowflies throughout the house was particularly troublesome - despite winter temperatures of -4 °C. Under these circumstances, a further stay was unacceptable for us, so we left after one night and informed the landlord immediately. We felt that the response was inappropriate, as instead of a serious discussion of the shortcomings, reference was only made to an existing fly swatter or alternative pots. We also felt that the refund offered was not appropriate. The surroundings are very beautiful, but we cannot recommend the house.

Besonders belastend war das Auftreten zahlreicher lebender und toter Schmeißfliegen im gesamten Haus – trotz winterlicher Temperaturen von –4 °C. Unter diesen Umständen war ein weiterer Aufenthalt für uns unzumutbar, sodass wir nach einer Nacht abgereist sind und den Vermieter sofort informierten. Die Reaktion empfanden wir als unangemessen, da statt einer ernsthaften Auseinandersetzung mit den Mängeln lediglich auf eine vorhandene Fliegenklatsche oder alternative Töpfe verwiesen wurde. Auch die angebotene Rückerstattung war aus unserer Sicht nicht angemessen. Die Umgebung ist sehr schön, das Haus können wir jedoch nicht empfehlen.
