Nature house in L EPINE

Our house is nestled at 1000 metres in the Pre-Alps in the Baronnies Provence Regional Nature park. Completely isolated and surrounded by natural forests, our house is a haven of peace. All our electricity is generated by solar panels and our fresh water comes from a natural spring. Our guest house is part of a large farm building and is very spacious and private. Emmanuel (French) and Geraldine (Australian) have lived on the property with their four children now adults since 1992. Niclas, German, has joined in the adventure of our ecologically friendly household. as too has Folco. They love hiking in the mountains, working in the garden, yoga and meditating. We all love welcoming people to our little paradise. Children love it here. Emmanuel, a mountain guide, has an extensive knowledge of this region. He can help you choose walks, or trails for cyclists, or charming medieval villages to roam around or markets to enjoy.

This region is where Provence reaches the southern French Alps so we enjoy both. It is an ideal playground for nature-lovers with an extensive range of choices for walking, cycling both back-country or road cycling . There are many natural spots for swimming. It is the perfect place for children. Farming here is not extensive but rather small organic family-run farms where they breed mainly sheep or goats and traditionally lavender too. One often has the impression that time slows down here far from the crowd. Spring here is quite special with an amazing range of wildflowers: a real explosion of life and colour. We host groups of botanists every year. We enjoy lovely warm summer days and cool evenings.
