This charming nature house is located on the edge of the small-scale nature campsite De Slangenborg (3 hectares). From the cottage you have a beautiful view of the surrounding nature, where peace, space and comfort come together. In the living room with large windows and French doors you look out over the fields, where deer, hares and birds of prey can regularly be seen. Inside, the cottage is modern and tastefully decorated, with warm colors, natural materials and a comfortable double bed. The contemporary bathroom has a surprising accent: a playful nod to the marten that lives here in the area. Outside waits a spacious terrace with unobstructed views, where you can quietly enjoy the morning sun or an evening under the stars.Outside you will find a spacious terrace with its own BBQ - a nice place to end the day and enjoy the view and the silence of nature. An ideal place to really unwind, surrounded by greenery, with all comforts at your fingertips.
Nature and surroundings
The cottage is located in the middle of Westerwolde, a green and watery area in the east of Groningen. From the door you can literally walk in all directions: one path takes you into the woods, the other along the winding stream valleys of the Ruiten Aa. In every season there is something new to discover here - from flowering heather and golden autumn forests to the sound of songbirds and the sight of deer or birds of prey. Hikers can go in all directions directly from the cottage, along winding stream valleys, forest paths and quiet fields. Cyclists will also find countless routes through the characteristic coulisse landscape, past old churches, mills and authentic farms. For culture lovers, the historic fortress of Bourtange and the medieval monastery of Ter Apel are highly recommended, and the German border is also nearby for a spontaneous trip. Here you will find the silence of the countryside and the richness of an area that invites you to walk, discover and unwind.
