Nature and surroundings
The treehouse is part of the Buitenplaats Koningsweg, a special cultural, nature-inclusive enclave. There are 11 follies tucked away on this nature preserve in the forest. It must be quiet after 10 p.m. or else the nocturnal animals will be disturbed in their search for food. If you are lucky you can discover the animals of the forest at dusk, with binoculars from the terrace. Around the corner from Treehouse Dolmen is National Park de Hoge Veluwe, entrance Schaarsbergen. Museum Kröller-Müller can be reached in 20 minutes by bicycle. On the Veluwezoom, the Posbank and the heathlands nearby are many hiking, cycling and mountain biking routes. On the south side of Buitenplaats Koningsweg, 10 kilometers away is the bustling center of Arnhem, where you can go for a day of culture or the coziness of the city. Burgers' Zoo and the Dutch Open Air Museum are also just around the corner. Something for everyone.
