Nature house in Klarenbeek

The cottage is comfortable and very clean—no dirty corners or drawers with signs of wear and tear. There’s no need to bring things from home, as there’s more than enough linens, soap, and dish soap provided in the cottage.
The surrounding area is wooded. Unfortunately, the heat prevented us from going for a walk in the area, but we were able to rent bikes 400 meters from the cottage and took a nice ride along the IJssel. We also visited the nearby Bussloo recreational lake, where it was pleasant to relax under the trees despite the heat.
The owners are very hospitable, friendly, but not intrusive. You have plenty of privacy.
They don’t provide a long list of instructions for your stay or for check-out, and they’re easy to reach and solution-oriented if you have any questions.

Het huisje is comfortabel en heel schoon, geen vieze hoekjes of laadjes met gebruikerssporen. Geen gesleep met spullen van thuis, want er is meer dan voldoende linnengoed, zeep en afwasmiddel in het huisje aanwezig.
De omgeving is bosrijk. Helaas konden wij door de warmte niet wandelen in de omgeving, maar hebben we wel op 400 meter van het huis fietsen kunnen huren en een mooie tocht langs de IJssel gemaakt. Ook hebben we de nabijgelegen recreatieplas Bussloo bezocht, waar het ondanks de hitte goed vertoeven was onder de bomen.
De eigenaars zijn erg gastvrij, vriendelijk maar niet opdringerig. Je hebt voldoende privacy.
Zij geven geen waslijst met instructies voor het verblijf en voor het uitchecken en zijn bij vragen goed bereikbaar en oplossingsgericht.

The cottage is located on a quiet property surrounded by meadows. It’s situated on a through road that isn’t too busy, so we weren’t bothered by traffic much.
The cottage has windows on the front, and daylight also comes in through skylights that can be covered with shades. Because of this, the view outside was somewhat limited; otherwise, we would have given it a perfect score.
A big plus is the air conditioning, which was much needed during the day because of the heat. But at night, it was cool enough without the air conditioning.

Het huisje bevindt zich op een rustig erf met daaromheen weilanden. Het huis ligt aan een doorgaande, niet al te drukke weg waar we weinig hinder van ondervonden.
Het huisje heeft aan de voorzijde ramen en verder komt er daglicht binnen via lichtkoepels die af te sluiten zijn met zonwering. Hierdoor was het zicht naar buiten enigzins beperkt anders hadden we een maximale score ingevuld.
Groot pluspunt is de airco, die overdag hard nodig was met de warmte. Maar s nachts was het koel genoeg zonder airco.

A fantastic stay: a clean, quiet, comfortable, beautiful, and luxuriously finished cottage and a superb bed. The hosts were exceptionally friendly; they go out of their way to make guests feel at home. Smart tech gadgets and air conditioning!
P.S. For question 3, I don’t know what activities are available there; it’s not something I’m interested in, so I marked it as “N/A.”

Superverblijf: schoon, rustig, comfortabel, prachtig en luxe afgewerkt huisje en een supergoed bed. Gastvrouw en -heer bijzonder vriendelijk; ze doen er alles aan om het fijn te maken voor de gasten. Slimme technosnufjes én airco!
PS. Bij vraag 3 weet ik niet welke activiteiten er/daar ook mogelijk zijn; zit mijn belangstelling niet, Daarom nvt ingevuld.

A wonderful setting in a relatively small village, with a lovely rural atmosphere and farm animals in the surrounding pastures.
A great starting point for all kinds of fun activities in the wider area. And there’s a well-stocked supermarket nearby.

Geweldige omgeving in een relatief klein dorp, lekker landelijk met boerderijbeestjes in de weiden eromheen.
Goed startpunt voor allerlei leuke dingen in de wijde omgeving. En een goede ruimgesorteerde supermarkt vlakbij.

The cottage is tastefully decorated and beautifully finished down to the last detail. The photos give a good idea of what it’s like, but in person it feels even cozier and more pleasant. An added bonus is the air conditioning: with the hot summers, it’s truly wonderfully comfortable.

Het huisje is met veel smaak ingericht en tot in detail mooi afgewerkt. De foto’s geven al een goed beeld, maar in het echt voelt het nóg sfeervoller en prettiger aan. Een extra pluspunt is de airco: met de warme zomers is dat echt heerlijk comfortabel.

We had a wonderful week at the cottage in Klarenbeek. It’s tastefully decorated, has modern finishes, and was clearly built with a lot of love. We even found some inspiration for our own home there.

Waking up to the sun in the morning, plenty of privacy in the garden, and total tranquility: exactly what we were looking for. The cottage is also a perfect base for bike rides to Apeldoorn, Zutphen, Deventer, the Kröller-Müller Museum, and the Hoge Veluwe.

The owners are attentive and hospitable; their passion for the cottage and their guests is evident in everything they do.

We therefore wholeheartedly recommend this place to stay.

Wij hebben een heerlijke week gehad in het huisje in Klarenbeek. Het is smaakvol ingericht, modern afgewerkt en duidelijk met veel liefde gemaakt. We hebben er zelfs inspiratie opgedaan voor thuis.

’s Ochtends wakker worden in de zon, volop privacy in de tuin en totale rust: precies wat we zochten. Het huisje is bovendien een perfecte uitvalsbasis voor fietstochten naar Apeldoorn, Zutphen, Deventer, het Kröller-Müller Museum en de Hoge Veluwe.

De eigenaren zijn betrokken en gastvrij; hun passie voor het huisje en hun gasten voel je in alles.
