Do you like peace, space and cosiness? Then come visit our farm located on the outskirts of the village of Sibrandabuorren. A small Frisian village in a watery area. Our nature house is situated inside our farm. The apartment has its own entrance, is wheelchair friendly and is suitable for disabled guests. It has a private bathroom. The kitchen is equipped with all facilities. Our apartment is adjacent to the stable where our beautiful Friesian horses are stabled. So there is always the possibility to make a tour along the horses. A private terrace is adjacent to the apartment. Dogs are welcome, at your own risk. The yard is not fenced. There are two dogs present. When you are in the apartment, but also when you step out the door you have a wide view over the meadows. Lovely walks can be made in the surroundings, for example to the Sneekermeer.
Nature and surroundings
Sibrandabuorren is a village where there used to be a dairy. The village still has the last drawbridge in the area. These used to be abundant because of the watery area. Everything in those days went over the water via the pram. Here and there you can still experience this in the area. Our nature house is located in the spacious Frisian countryside less than a stone's throw from the Sneekermeer. Ideal for water sports enthusiasts. Visit the nearby villages or take a trip to Sneek and Grou, both 8 km away. Leeuwarden (20 km), with its iconic Oldeho Tower and the fascinating Fries Museum. Enjoy the forests of Gaasterland and Beetsterzwaag or the towns of Harlingen, Stavoren and Hindeloopen, all within 30 km. Walk through beautiful nature with routes such as Langs De Alde Feanen and Door Lytse Geast. Cycle along rural roads past charming villages with their mounds. Unique stores in Akkrum and Terherne. Experience the 11 towns by visiting them, by car or bicycle.
