You’ll be staying in a spacious (50 m2) and serene studio. Surrounded by paintings and a beautiful garden, it’s a wonderful place to clear your mind. The guesthouse is part of the barn. You’ll reach your private entrance via the driveway and step right into the kitchen. To the left of the entrance, you’ll find fresh mint (in season). You’ll have your own (small) bathroom at your disposal. The studio features a bed with a comfortable mattress and a cozy sitting area. Bedding and towels can be booked separately. A baby is welcome (co-sleeper). For cleaning and basic supplies, we use eco-friendly/organic products as much as possible. There is ample parking at the entrance to the property. An electric vehicle charging station is 250 m away. In the garden, there is a seating area reserved exclusively for guests; the rest of the garden is shared. Bicycles can be stored and charged in the shed. Bicycle rental is available 1 km away. It is exceptionally quiet here, though the normal sounds of a neighborhood are, of course, present from time to time.
Nature and surroundings
Our guesthouse is located in the hamlet of Varssel, right in the heart of the beautiful Achterhoek region and its stunning bocage landscape and country estates. There are plenty of hiking and biking trails! Nearby are the More Museum in Ruurlo, the Staal Museum in Almen, and the Hanseatic city of Zutphen is also not far away. And don’t forget Bronkhorst, the smallest town in the area! The Pieterpad trail passes by just 50 meters away, and the golf club is 200 meters away (with a restaurant and terrace). From our nature house, you can walk or bike right into nature, across the Zelle estate, over the golf course (!), ‘t Zand (De Hoenderkamp estate), the Ruurlo Forest, along the Veengoot, through the ‘t Klooster forest, and more. The Eight Castles Route is a beautiful place to bike. The gardens of the Wildenborch and Wiersse estates are truly special.

Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
- Out of respect for nature: silence between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
- Minimum age of main booker: 18 years.
- Smoking is not allowed in this nature house.
- No fireworks are allowed at this Nature House.
- No parties or events are allowed.
- This nature house is not suitable for groups of young people, students and sports teams.
- Waste separation is mandatory in this nature house.
