We are happy to rent out the apartment in the historic part of our winery, which dates back to 1826. It is charming and full of character, situated on beautiful grounds with many unique trees and natural surroundings. The house is located near Asti, in the Monferrato UNESCO World Heritage Site, right in the heart of the Barbera wine region. The house has two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one with two single beds, and a connecting room with two single beds. It also features a bathroom with a shower stall, a fully equipped modern kitchen, and a cozy living room. In front of the house is a beautiful garden where you can relax and take in the views, including a pergola perfect for an Italian family dinner. There’s also an authentic pizza oven with a cozy seating area. Thanks to the 50cm-thick walls, the interior remains comfortable throughout the summer even without air conditioning. On the property is a 7x4m swimming pool, which we maintain using as few chemicals as possible and is available from May 15 to September 1.
Nature and surroundings
Our house is located on a 1.5-hectare estate that offers plenty of privacy as well as the warmth of our Italian neighbors. You’ll find fruit trees such as fig, pomegranate, quince, medlar, apple, and pear, and unique species like a ginkgo, Japanese weeping willow, and Persian sleep tree. From the house, you can easily walk into the valley or the forest, where you can often spot deer. The surroundings are quiet and natural, ideal for unwinding, but within 5 minutes you’re at supermarkets and in the picturesque village of Agliano Terme. Cities such as Asti, Alba, and Nizza Monferrato are a 15–30-minute drive away. The region is known for its wines (Barbera, Barbaresco, Barolo, and Moscato d’Asti) and for white truffles in the fall, culminating in the truffle market in Alba. The area is perfect for walks or active excursions by (electric) bike or mountain bike. Here, you’ll experience authentic Italian outdoor life.
