We are happy to rent the apartment in the old part of our 1826 wine farm. Attractive and characteristic, located in beautiful grounds with many special trees and nature. The house is located near Asti, in the Unesco World Heritage Monferrato, right in the middle of the Barbera wine region, The house has two bedrooms, one with a double bed, one with two single beds and a connecting room with two single beds. In addition, a bathroom with shower cabin, fully equipped modern kitchen and a cozy living room. In front of the house there is a beautiful garden where you can look away, including a pergola that can accommodate an Italian family dinner. In addition, there is an authentic pizza oven with cozy seating area. Because of the 50cm thick walls it remains pleasant inside during the summer even without air conditioning. On the grounds there is a pool of 7x4m where we use as few chemicals as possible so not always blue and clear.
Nature and surroundings
Our house is located on a 1.5 hectare estate with plenty of privacy and the conviviality of our Italian neighbors. You will find fruit trees such as fig, pomegranate, quince, medlar, apple and pear, and special species such as gingko, Japanese weeping willow and Persian pine. From the house you can walk straight into the valley or the forest, where you can regularly spot deer. The environment is quiet and natural, ideal for unwinding, but within 5 minutes you can reach supermarkets and the picturesque village of Agliano Terme. Cities such as Asti, Alba and Nizza Monferrato are a 15-30 minute drive away. The region is known for its wines (Barbera, Barbaresco, Barolo and Moscato d'Asti) and for white truffles in the fall, culminating in the truffle market in Alba. The area is perfect for hiking or sporting trips by (electric) bicycle or mountain bike. Here you will experience the real Italian outdoor life.
