Cozy cottage on the outskirts of a mountain village This charming cottage is nestled against the mountainside and accessible via a picturesque donkey trail. Inside, you’ll find a cool kitchen fully equipped with all the amenities and a cozy seating area right outside the door where you can enjoy your coffee. There are two bedrooms: one with a sofa bed and access to a sunny patio with lounge chairs, and one with a comfortable double bed. The bathroom has a shower, toilet, and washing machine. There’s a large garden with many old olive trees, lemon trees, and oleanders. The garden blends into the wilderness. Parking is available at the church on the village square, just a four-minute walk from the house. Perfect for those seeking peace and quiet. The nearest lively village is an hour’s walk away, or a 10-minute drive.

The cottage is located on the outskirts of the village, right on the hiking trail to Aerole (about an hour’s walk) and to the wonderfully cool river, which you can reach in six minutes by walking downhill. By car, you can reach the sea in Ventimiglia in twenty minutes. At night, you can sometimes hear wild boars, and in winter, wolves roam through the village. For hiking enthusiasts, Breil-sur-Roya is also within walking distance—about an hour and a half. And the Vallée des Merveilles is truly a mecca for hikers. Here you’ll hike through a spectacular mountain landscape with high-altitude lakes and ancient rock formations, but above all past thousands of prehistoric rock paintings and engravings dating back some 5,000 years. You’ll see depictions of animals, weapons, and mysterious human figures from the time of the first inhabitants of these mountains.
