Welcome to “ausspanne” in the Harz Mountains! On a spacious, naturally landscaped lot, we’ve built two log cabins made of natural logs, each with a carport and an outbuilding. Each cabin has 50 square meters of living space spread over two floors. The front cottage offers plenty of space and comfort for two people. The ground floor features an open-concept kitchen with a dining area and a bathroom. The wood-pellet stove with seating provides cozy warmth throughout the cottage. Additionally, the ground floor is equipped with underfloor heating. Upstairs, you’ll find the spacious bedroom and living area with sweeping views of the mountain meadows. The exposed roof trusses and large gable windows create a unique sense of space. The log cabin is furnished with great attention to detail. The solid wood walls give the house a warm and cozy atmosphere. The large windows let plenty of light into the house and offer a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape.
Nature and surroundings
Buntenbock is a district of Clausthal-Zellerfeld and is located on a plateau in the Upper Harz. This tranquil village is surrounded by mountain meadows and numerous ponds that are part of the Upper Harz Water Regale. Our log cabins are located at the entrance to the village, right next to the Buntenbock mountain meadows. In the summer, the Hasenbacher Pond is perfect for a refreshing swim. It’s just a few minutes’ walk away. In winter, when there is enough snow, the cross-country ski trail runs right past our property. Buntenbock in the Harz Mountains lies at an elevation of about 550 m above sea level on a plateau with many lakes and meadows. The surrounding area offers plenty of opportunities for hikes and bike tours of varying lengths and difficulty levels. In Buntenbock, there is a nice café and a small restaurant. The mountain town of Clausthal-Zellerfeld is 3 km away. There, you’ll find numerous shopping options and a good selection of restaurants.

For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
