A COMFORTABLE STAY IN AN AUTHENTIC RECTORY DATED 1860 Our luxury room (belle étage, front side) is approximately 20 square meters and features a large en suite bathroom with a bathtub, shower, two sinks, a bidet, and a toilet. The double bed is 160 cm wide. From the room, you can see the little church, which dates from the same period as the rectory. Because the parsonage is located at the end of a dead-end road, it is almost completely quiet here, except for the sounds of birds and the chiming of the church bells (the church is located across from the parsonage). The breakfast I serve isn’t very elaborate but is certainly sufficient, and upon request (and for a small additional fee), I can certainly add extras such as an egg or fresh orange juice. As your hostess, I do my very best to make sure my guests have a wonderful time. And if you’re traveling alone? You’ll get VIP treatment!
Nature and surroundings
The rectory is located on the outskirts of a small village—Marigny-sur-Yonne—surrounded by forests and rolling hills. Just 500 meters away is the Canal du Nivernais, with its lock keepers’ houses dating from the end of the last century. It’s wonderful to walk and bike along the canal! Marigny-sur-Yonne is located near one of France’s most beautiful nature reserves: the Morvan. About a 25-minute drive away, you’ll find stunning (swimming) lakes: Lac de Panecière, Lac de Chaumecon, and Lac de Setton. Closer by are the Étang de Veau et Baye (14 km) and the Étang de Merle (24 km), lovely recreational lakes with small beaches. You’ll find cultural attractions in the surrounding towns: Clamecy (with a beautiful Gothic church and medieval quarter) and the stunning Vézelay, for example, which attracts about 750,000 visitors a year. Many concerts are also held in the churches. All amenities are available in Corbigny, 4 km from Marigny-sur-Yonne: 3 bakeries, 5 small restaurants, 2 supermarkets, a pharmacy, a veterinary clinic, and more.

Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
