A minimalist hideaway immersed in the forest, yet just 6 minutes by car from the stunning Gulf of Baratti. This cozy house is simple but fully equipped: a real retreat for nature lovers. You’ll enjoy the outdoor table under the trees, with a view of the sea through the oaks of the Baratti nature reserve. The house includes: a kitchen with gas stove, oven, fridge, kettle and toaster (no microwave), your bedroom, with its own private bathroom, plus my favorite: the outdoor shower in the woods.
Nature and surroundings
Surrounded by over 2,000 trees, this home sits literally in the middle of the forest. The road to the house is a short but steep dirt path, with a few bumps – perfectly manageable by foot or car with care. At the bottom of the slope, there is a private parking space; from there, you walk 20 meters uphill through the trees to reach the house. The property is fully fenced, but being in a natural reserve, you may occasionally spot a fox or a forest creature passing by. If you love silence, woods, sea breeze and a touch of wild charm, this is your dream escape.

The house is very lovingly and stylishly furnished. You feel right at home and have everything you need. The kitchen is also super equipped, kettle, toaster, large fridge with freezer compartment....what more do you need.
Haus ist sehr liebevoll/ stilvoll eingerichtet. Man fühlt sich ditekt wohl, hat alles was man braucht. Auch die Küche ist super ausgestattet, Wasserkocher, Toaster, großer Kühlschrank mit Eisfach....was braucht man mehr.
We spent eight wonderful days in Baratti Gulf/Piombino. Susanna is a super warm, friendly and open hostess who welcomed us with open arms. The cottage is situated on a hill in the middle of nature, right next to the forest. You can only hear a road in the distance, otherwise you are just to yourself (100% privacy) and in harmony with nature. The cottage is well equipped and very stylishly furnished to a high standard. Susanna was keen to give us tips for excursions or beaches in the area. For example, a visit to Piombino, a small, beautiful town with a pedestrian zone and nice restaurants or beach bars, only a few minutes away by car. The beaches in the area are also only a few minutes away by car and were not as crowded as in other regions of Italy, even in August. All in all, well worth the trip! Wir haben acht wunderschöne Tage in Baratti Gulf/Piombino verbracht. Susanna ist eine super warmherzige, sympathische und offene Gastgeberin, die uns mit offenen Armen empfangen hat. Das Häuschen liegt auf einem Berg mitten in der Natur, direkt am Wald. Nur in weiter Entfernung hört man eine Straße, ansonsten ist man nur für sich (100%Privatsphäre) und im Einklang der Natur. Das Häuschen ist bestens ausgestattet und sehr stilvoll und qualitativ hochwertig eingerichtet. Susanna war darauf bedacht, uns Tipps für Ausflüge oder Strände aus der Umgebung mitzuteilen. Wie z.b. ein Besuch in Piombino, eine kleine, schöne Stadt mit einer Fußgängerzone und netten Lokalen oder Strandbars, nur wenige Autominuten entfernt. Die Strände in der Umgebung sind ebenfalls nur wenige Autominuten entfernt und waren auch im August nicht so überfüllt, wie man es aus anderen Regionen Italiens kennt. Alles in allem eine Reise wert!
