Light, space and a crackling wood stove Birch Road 3 has that fine combination that makes a cottage really good. The original tiled floor, the spacious sitting area and the dining table that you can enlarge as you wish create a cozy atmosphere where it is pleasant to be together. The modern enclosed wood stove with fan heats the room quickly and efficiently. Outside, a comfortable terrace with lounger, parasol and BBQ awaits and two tennis rackets are ready for those who feel like a game. The kitchen was updated in 2025 and fully equipped, from Nespresso to filter coffee.
Nature and surroundings
Izier is located in the heart of the Belgian Ardennes, surrounded by forests and stream valleys that are part of a Natura 2000 area. Here nature is not a background but the main program. Step outside and follow a path into the forest along steep slopes, open plains and shady groves where it is pleasant to be even on hot days. Hiking and cycling routes start directly from the area, and there is a shed to safely store your bikes. And for those ready for some more fun: Durbuy is about a 20-minute drive away. Stroll through the medieval streets, sample local delicacies or take a kayak on the Ourthe River. Then back to that sunny terrace is all you really need.
