Welcome to our house! We offer individual vacation options for nature lovers and those seeking peace and quiet. During the renovation and furnishing, special attention was paid to sustainability. Among other things, we use environmentally friendly cleaning products, separate waste and use green electricity. Our natural garden is a habitat for many plants and animals. Observe the many wild bees in our meadows or the barn owl on its evening excursion from the barn. Our property offers many opportunities for relaxation: in the hammock lounge, on a quiet bench at the edge of the field or on the apartment's own terrace. If you are interested in ornithology (bird watching), you will find an observation tower in the garden, literature and tips for good observation spots.
Nature and surroundings
We are located in the middle of the Lower Saxony Elbe Valley Biosphere Reserve and on the Green Belt, the former inner-German border. Many rare animal and plant species can still be found in this varied landscape. Ideal for nature and bird watching Discover the Wendland - sparsely populated, but culturally active There are many opportunities for outdoor activities: walks to the Elbe, cycle tours to the Nemitzer Heide, canoe tours on Lake Gartow or the Aland... There is a lot to discover: whether cranes in the fields, deer, beavers or soaring white-tailed eagles. At night, there are lots of twinkling stars. The region is very easy to explore by bike, often on car-free paths. The town of Gartow is just four kilometers away - with shops, restaurants, a bathing lake and the Wendland thermal baths.
