Hidden behind a farm is this cozy yurt, reached by a romantic path through the native herb field. The yurt is furnished for two people and offers everything for a comfortable stay. Inside you will find a double bed with a view of the sunset, and at night you can look at the stars through the dome - as if you were lying outside in the grass: it feels like sleeping outside. There is electricity, a kitchen with water, a small refrigerator, a 2-burner stove, and a stove for colder nights. The yurt has a sitting area with sofa and chairs outside ready to enjoy the view over the meadows. You have private bathroom with toilet and hot shower, accessible via a wooden deck. On the decking you will also find a terrace under a bamboo shade cloth.
Nature and surroundings
The yurt is located in Fochteloo behind a farm. On a private field of 3000 square meters, with native herbs and flowers. Perfect for retreating after a visit to the nearby Fochtelooerveen, Drents Friese wold or the colony of benevolence (Veenhuizen) At the yurt you will enjoy peace, views over meadows and the sound of frogs - you may even hear the trumpeting of cranes on their way to the nearby Fochtelooerveen. A single tractor sometimes passes the farmland. In the evening you can sit by the fire pit (provided there is no ban on fires), with a barbecue rack for outdoor cooking. A unique place to unwind, on the edge of the Hooylanden.
