The lovingly and sustainably restored stone house is located in the small romantic village of Roccalbegna. At the foot of a nature reserve, away from the turbulent and noisy tourist centers, halfway between Monte Amiata and the thermal springs of Saturnia. This invites you to enjoy pure nature, go on hikes, cycle or motorcycle tours, go swimming in the millstream or just relax ... ... relaxing and secluded beaches are within easy reach. The house offers two bedrooms, with space for up to 4 people, two separate bathrooms and a large eat-in kitchen. This is equipped with a stove, oven and a wood-burning stove. You can enjoy breakfast, sunrise and sunset directly in front of the house or in your own garden with a view of the WWF nature reserve Rocconi. Washing machine use is possible. Our house is pet-free.
Nature and surroundings
Roccalbegna has everything you need in terms of infrastructure: Alimentari, butcher, pharmacy, tabacchi, pizzeria, a traditional bar and the award-winning Fiorino cheese dairy, as well as a small weekly market every Monday, with fresh fruit and vegetables from the region You can take a refreshing dip in the Albegna, enjoy hikes on Monte Amiata and Monte Labro or visit the hot springs of Saturnia To experience culture, cities such as Siena, Pisa, San Gimignano and the ancient Etruscan town of Pitigliano are ideal for a day trip. Rome and Florence are also easily accessible by train or car and can be experienced as a day trip. Enjoy the typical Italian markets, traditional festivals in the surrounding villages or simply the Italian flair. Towns such as Massa Marittima, Follonica, Castel del Piano, the lagoons near Orbetello, the harbor village of Porto Santo Stefano or the next larger town of Grosseto near the sea are ideal for this.
