On our small-scale family campsite Domaine la Chabanne in Châtel-Montagne there are 8 fully equipped lodge tents with private sanitary facilities. They are located on spacious pitches (200-400 m²) with lots of privacy and are comfortably furnished with box-spring beds, a lounge set, hammock and a fully equipped kitchen. The private bathroom next to the tent has a shower, toilet, sink and dishwashing area. In addition, there are 14 free camping spots and 3 luxuriously furnished domes on a natural site of 2 hectares. For children there is plenty of fun in the playground and the swimming pool with sliding roof. In the restaurant with cozy covered terrace you are welcome for a drink and snack, an ice cream or a delicious meal. Every day we bake fresh bread, croissants and chocolate rolls to order. Camping Domaine la Chabanne is a quiet vacation destination where you can enjoy comfort, nature and hospitality.
Nature and surroundings
At Domaine la Chabanne, located in eastern Allier, in the Auvergne region, you will enjoy peace, space and nature, with all facilities at your fingertips. Our lodge tents offer a view of the vast forests of the Montagne Bourbonnaise. Varied hiking and mountain biking routes start directly from the campsite. For the sporty cyclist there are quiet roads with tough climbs. Near the campsite is the beautiful wine region La Côte Roannaise. Nearby you will find two challenging climbing parks and a large swimming lake where you can go supping or pedal boating. The region also offers atmospheric villages such as Châtel-Montagne, known for its Romanesque church, and the city of Vichy with its elegant architecture and park along the river Allier, just a half-hour drive away.
