"Studio de Losque" is gelegen in het hart van het "Parc naturel regional des Pyrenes", in het departement Ariege, in de regio Ocitanie, het vorgebergte van de Pyreneen. De Studio maakt deel uit van het gehucht "Losque" in Castelnau Durban. In het gehucht was vroeger en marmer-mijn, waaren zeldzame rose varieteit van marmer ge-exploiteerd werd, genaamd "Griotte". Je kunt nog steeds en gedeelte van deze geschiedenis zien. De huizen in het gehucht zijn grotendeels gebouwt met marmersteen. Tegenwordig is het een (kleine) boerderij, met koeien, enkele geiten, kippen, die gezamelijk en hele vredige almospheer scheppen. De "Studio" heeft een basis van marmer en de opbouw is van ecologische materialen. Met moderne faciliteiten en en fantastisch uitzicht over Ariege, creert het geheel een ontspannen sfeer om tot rust te komen en te ontsnapen aan de hectiek, die het moderne leven met zich mee brengt.

Grâce à des terres très fertiles, cette région est très riche en produits locaux frais qui sont vendus sur les marchés de producteurs ou dans les magasins locaux tous le long de l'année. Comme il s'agit d'une zone de montagne rurale, la voiture/moto est nécessaire pour se déplacer ! Sauf si vous êtes un cycliste très en forme bien sûr ;)

A lovely little cottage in the mountains. It’s deafeningly quiet. The cottage has no unnecessary frills, but that’s what makes it so special. It’s fully equipped and spacious enough for two people. Nice outdoor area. Built by the owners themselves using sustainable materials, mainly wood. You can smell it as soon as you walk in.
The view is extraordinary—you look out over the Pyrenees. Sloping hills with meadows interspersed with forests.
Martien and Christina are very kind and special people.
The road to the cottage is a bit of a challenge for the average Dutch person. You get used to it, and I highly recommend bringing enough groceries with you so you don’t have to keep going back down.
Highly recommended for people who love peace and quiet and want to take a break from (digital) distractions, etc.Een heerlijk huisje op de berg. Oorverdovend stil is het. Het huisje heeft geen overbodige franje maar dat maakt het zo bijzonder. Het is compleet en ruim voor 2 personen. Fijne buitenruimte. Zelf gebouwd met duurzame materialen vooral hout. Dat ruik je als je binnenkomt.
Het uitzicht is bijzonder je kijkt over de Pyreneeën uit. Hellingen met weilanden afgewisseld met bossen.
Martien en Christina zijn erg aardige en bijzondere mensen.
De weg naar het huisje is voor de gemiddelde Nederlander een uitdaging. Het went en een aanrader is om voldoende boodschappen mee te nemen hoef je niet steeds naar beneden.
