You will stay on a comfortable houseboat, floating on the water of an old Frisian estate. The boat is modern, light and warm - but the surroundings breathe history. You look out over the meadows, with an authentic farm from 1867 in the background. Here peace and simplicity come together, and inside it is surprisingly spacious. The decor is stylish and natural, with soft colors and everything you need: a good bed, a nice shower, your own kitchen and a place to sit and just watch. To the outside. To inside. To nothing, and yet everything. On your terrace you almost sit on the water. You hear birds, see dragonflies, sometimes a curious duck. The landscape is vast and quiet, the rhythm of the water defines the day. Whether you come to read, to sleep or just to catch your breath: this cottage invites you to land. Without hurry, without distraction. On the water. In the moment.
Nature and surroundings
From your houseboat you look out over the water, with meadows stretching endlessly. No traffic, no rush. Only reeds, birds, cloudy skies and a horizon that breathes. Here silence is still real silence. Around the estate live godwits, lapwings, swans and ducks. Sometimes you see a deer, sometimes you only hear the rustling of the wind. Every day feels different, every day begins anew. You don't have to go anywhere - but can do anything. Rent a sup or canoe and sail up the Elfstedenroute. Or grab a bike and follow winding paths among the grass, past farms and villages. Being outside is natural here. Fancy an evening without cooking? Then walk to Restaurant WeidumerHout in the yard. You eat there according to the rhythm of the season. Slow food, shared stories and pure flavors - in the middle of the greenery, in the middle of the moment.
