Our yurt is perfect for a cozy stay for two, or you can also stay there with up to four people. The yurt features a comfortable double bed and a sofa bed that can be converted into an extra bed for two. There is a fully equipped mini-kitchen, a dressing area, and even an outdoor bath where you can enjoy a relaxing soak in the open air, accompanied by the sound of birdsong or the light of twinkling stars. The yurt is situated in the fields of the regenerative community farm Strackxhoeve. Spend a cozy night here in this beautiful green setting, surrounded by our fresh vegetables in the fields and our newly planted fruit trees. Nearby, you can go cycling or hiking in the Merode Woods and visit Averbode Abbey. Or simply stay here on the farm and relax in our peaceful paradise on the Rode Laak.
Nature and surroundings
Our guests are welcome to use our outdoor kitchen—cook up a delicious meal with a view of the fields! On Wednesdays, visit our farm shop for fresh vegetables straight from the field. On Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, any surplus produce is also available in the shop via an honesty box set up especially for our guests. From May through September, we host a field dinner every Friday and a community kitchen every Saturday, where you’re welcome to join us at the table and enjoy the meal! The cooking team will then whip up a delicious meal using vegetables straight from the field. If you stay overnight on a Saturday from May through September, you can participate in the Community Kitchen at a discount!
