This nature house is located in Meana di Susa in the Italian Alps. It is an authentic Piedmont cottage, which has since been refurbished, double-glazed and has new doors and frames. The cottage can accommodate 2+2 people. There is a separate bedroom with a double bed and a sofa bed in the living room (see pictures). You have your own terrace and garden (laurel, sage and rosemary are present), but you can also use the (large) garden with a swing bench, a hammock and a bbq (see pictures of the garden). In the months that we rent this casa, only the permanent residents are present and it is otherwise quiet in the village. The people who live in the house next to us are never there and the other side of the house borders our garden of 1500 m2. The months we rent out our cottage we ourselves are not present in the big house. You have the empire to yourself.
Nature and surroundings
The uniqueness of this place is the silence, the greenery and the view of the Italian Alps. Everywhere you look you see mountains and you are surrounded by forests. The garden flows into the forest. Because of a hill in front of the house, it is mouse quiet and you don't hear any noise from the Susa Valley. The cottage is located on a dead end road from where you can walk into the forest to a beautiful stream. You can drink the water from the stream. Everything is protected nature reserve. The house is located on the Grande Traversata delle Alpi (GTA), a largely high alpine long-distance hiking trail in the Piedmont region. There are an awful lot of beautiful mountain walks to be made. We will provide tips on these and have a map and a booklet of hiking routes. If you walk in the other direction you will walk in 5 minutes to a little church on a hill with a beautiful view of the Susa valley (photo)
