We’ve experienced a wonderful time in Henrieke and Andres’ place. They were very welcoming, friendly, involved and approachable hosts, we received some of Andres’ delicious homemade wine and some in season produce. The house itself is very cosy and comfortable, I really love the atmosphere and felt right at home. I can only imagine the experience in the wintertime sitting in the lazy chair and getting a fire going in the fireplace! For us in the summertime it was great that we were able to keep the window in the bedroom open at night with the screen keeping mosquitos at bay. Shutters also help in keeping the place cool, no fan was needed but it was available upon request! The shower was very comfortable and the kitchen covers all the basic amenities you could need. All in all I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a bit of peace and nature, we could have easily stayed another week!
Casa Blanca ia located right on the border of the Moncayo nature reserve. It’s a truly peaceful place with sounds of birds and the water from the stream down the road. If you want you can start hiking right there and explore the beautiful nature without using the car. A hike I would recommend starts a short car ride away from ‘aparcamiento de Haya Seca’ and will take you to astonishing views on the Pico Moncayo. From there you can even see the road by casa blanca and maybe even the house itself if you bring binoculars :)
I would also recommend the location for staying a bit longer to explore more of the region, it’s for instance an easy drive to Bardenas Reales and you’re also not too far from the Rioja region!
