Welcome to our nature house in Burgh-Haamstede! Here, in one of the most beautiful spots in the Netherlands, you’ll be surrounded by gorgeous beaches, forests, and dunes. Our new cottage is quietly located just a 1-minute walk from the charming village center with shops, outdoor cafes, and restaurants, and the same distance from the woods. By bike, you can reach 17 km of beach with charming beach bars in 10 minutes. Private parking for cars and/or bikes is available, and contactless check-in is possible via a key box. Inside, there’s a microwave and a hot plate for boiling an egg or heating up some soup. Outside, you can grill and barbecue when the weather is nice. We’re here to make your stay unforgettable. The Westerschouwen Forest, Zeeland’s largest forest, enchants visitors with its rolling dune landscape, shifting sand dunes, valleys, and dune meadows. This beautiful nature reserve is home to a rich variety of trees, plants, and animals. Birds of prey such as buzzards and goshawks nest in the tall, old pine trees, while butterflies, rabbits, pheasants, and countless other birds grace the area. In the dunes, you can spot roe deer, fallow deer, and even wild Shetland ponies. Together with the Meeuwenduinen, Verklikkersduinen, and Vroongronden, the Boswachterij forms the Kop van Schouwen, a protected natural monument. A must-visit for nature lovers!
