This spacious house has a large open-plan kitchen, 4 bedrooms (3x double and 1x triple) and a single bed in the loft. There are 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets. The living kitchen has a full glass front, facing north and overlooking the forest edge. Above the kitchen diner is a spacious loft. The kitchen is fully equipped, only there is no microwave. There is a good coffee machine for coffee beans. There is also a glass "push-through" coffee maker that holds filter coffee. The house is often used by musicians. There is a good grand piano in the living room (not yet pictured).
Nature and surroundings
The house is located in complete peace at the edge of the forest, halfway down a dead-end dirt road where only cyclists and hikers come. The lawn around the house is part long grass and part mowed. The house is part of our romantic, slightly cluttered farmyard. Don't expect tight paths and borders. Nature is given space here. There is very rich flora and fauna; a birder recently counted as many as 35 species of birds. There are also foxes, badgers, martens, deer, hares, rabbits, bats and insects Located 3 km from Almen and 7 km from Zutphen. Deventer and Lochem also within cycling distance. There are plenty of walking and cycling opportunities. You can start from the yard. In Almen is a nice outdoor pool. There you can also rent canoes for the river Berkel. You can also swim in the Berkel, about 4 km from us. Near the house you can rent donkeys for a walk. We ourselves live next door in our farmhouse, 35 meters away. There is complete privacy.
