Welcome to this cottage, a charming Tuscan country house dating back to the early 20th century and carefully renovated in 2025. Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Lucca hills, just 17 km from the ancient city walls, it offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature. The house has retained its Tuscan charm with exposed stone walls, wooden beams, and terracotta floors. The interiors are warm and bright, combining rustic Tuscan charm with modern comfort. There are two double bedrooms, a study with a double bed that can be used as an office or bedroom, a kitchen with a large fireplace and a dining area, a living room with a sofa bed, a bathroom, and a half-bath. In front of the house is a spacious garden and an outdoor dining area with a patio (6x3 m) and a barbecue. This accommodation does NOT have central heating. Each room is equipped with a wood-burning stove, and firewood is provided for guests’ use.

Your journey to this nature house begins on a typical hill road—a bit narrow and winding, but well-paved all the way to the town center. From there, the road continues as a narrow dirt road for 1 km, until you reach a small hamlet in the woods. Make sure you have a suitable vehicle for this part of the journey (a Jeep would be perfect, but small cars or SUVs will also work). If you don’t feel comfortable driving on the dirt road, I recommend leaving your car in the village and walking the rest of the way. From there, a short 150-meter trail will lead you on foot to the house. Here, amid the rustling of the trees and the lively sounds of nature, you’ll find peace and serenity. This cottage is conveniently located for exploring various destinations: Lucca (17 km), Florence (80 km), Pisa (35 km), and the beaches of Versilia (40 km). In addition, you can take day trips to the Cinque Terre (120 km), a UNESCO World Heritage Site, or visit the Abetone Mountains (60 km) and the Garfagnana region (40 km).
