In our yard is our nature house: a chalet of 11 by 3 meters, a place to shelter, look far away, unwind. The chalet has a nice living room, open kitchen, air conditioning (great for summer) bedroom with double bed (160x200), bunk beds for children (67x180) and separate bathroom with toilet, shower and sink. It is suitable for two adults and 2 children and equipped to relax and enjoy. Your car is parked nearby. The cottage has a sunny terrace facing south. In consultation it is possible to put up a tent.
Nature and surroundings
4 km away, there are boats, canoes and sups for rent in the village of Burdaard. For hiking and cycling enthusiasts, numerous hiking and cycling routes are available in the area. For example, follow a route along the Wadden Sea or through the Frisian meadows or visit Dokkum and Leeuwarden. For nature lovers, there are the two national parks the Lauwersmeer and the Waddenzee with all their special flora and fauna . A day trip to the Wadden Islands of Ameland and Schiermonnikoog is also recommended. For the history buff there is within walking distance the high mound of Jannum, on which stands an old Romanesque church from 1150. Together with workers' cottages and a large monumental Frisian head-necked farmhouse, it is a pearl in the Frisian landscape.
