We transformed the young cattle barn into a lovely guesthouse using as many natural materials as possible. The terrace faces south, where you can nicely overlook our vegetable garden. Everything is provided, from bedding to tea towel, from frying pan to hand blender. There is some reading material, games and even binoculars for bird watching. We will prepare the wood for the stove, as well as firelighters and wood.
Nature and surroundings
We are right in the heart of Drenthe, with many bike paths and hiking trails. Drents museum has nice changing collections and Veenhuizen is also a must. Or a day in Groningen, with all its little stores. Near us is a beaver castle. Do you have to get up early to spot the beaver. However, there are many tracks visible. You step out of the guesthouse, and you are immediately in nature. The forest is a little further, but if you're there, it's great hiking.
